Critter Encounters

Critter Encounters

Just like Andrea, Kahoots' mission has always been to nourish the love of animals, knowledge, and nature. Through this mutual appreciation, we've partnered up with Andrea to feature Critter Encounters at our Kahoots locations. Better yet, you can too! If you're interested in more information regarding Andrea's mobile "Critter Encounters" and how you can get involved, you can visit them online at critterencounters.net.

Reaching Children through the Wonder of Animals

Located in Ramona, California, Critter Encounters is a live animal education company providing up-close animal presentations for preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, camps, Girl Scout™ and Boy Scout™ troops, special occasions, parties, and KAHOOTS! All of their programs are grade-appropriate and follow the California State Science Standards. Backed by more than 20 years of experience, Andrea and her team of friendly, exotic animals are perfect for children of all ages to enjoy and learn about.

Sadly, because of current conditions, we had to put a pause on our in-store events...but lucky for us, Andrea still wanted to do something fun for you all. In this brand-new video, you'll get to virtually meet Andrea and join her for an exclusive day in the life of a zookeeper!

Up Close and Personal

NO BUSES, NO PERMISSION SLIPS! Andrea will bring her animals to you, your classroom, school assembly, special occasion, private event, or even your next birthday party! Running approximately 1 to 2 hours, Critter Encounters provides interactive animal presentations taught in a professional manner that are both extremely fun and educational. Better yet, you get to actually touch these unique animals! From the softest chinchilla to the scaliest monitor, these positive experiences can make a huge impact, fostering a love of wildlife and nature to last a lifetime.

Celebrating Each Critter's Uniqueness

Our one hour assemblies and classroom programs include five to six animals and are designed to provide hands-on learning of habitats, adaptations, natural history of specific species, as well as some conservation tips - all while allowing touching opportunities with most of the critters. These presentations aim to provide an up-close opportunity for positive and lasting impressions on our young generation.

Customize Your Program

Each of our educational animal programs can be specifically customized to complement topics already being discussed in your classroom (i.e. grade specific CA State Science Standards). The animals can be incorporated into science themes such as 'Adaptations', 'Habitats', 'Conservation', etc. Please try to book your program two to three weeks in advance. We require a deposit 10 days prior to your event date, and final payment is due at the conclusion of the program.
