Walk-in vaccines & clinic days

★★★★★
“Every vet I called had long wait times or high prices. Kahoots had a walk-in vaccination day — no appointment needed. I got the adult dog bundle (rabies, bordetella, and DAPPV) for $72. The whole process was easy, and the vet and nurse handled my dog with real care.”

Jenny N. · Kahoots Huntington Beach

“Came in for the canine influenza vaccine. Filled out a quick form, paid at the register, and the technician had it done in under 10 minutes. Staff was friendly and the whole thing was completely painless.”

Anesthesia-free dental cleaning

★★★★★
“I brought my dog in for a dental cleaning instead of putting him under at the vet. The clinic is run by an actual veterinarian, and the process was fast and thorough. His teeth came out white and clean, and they walked us through everything — what looked good, what to watch for. We'll be back every year.”

Parisa O. · Kahoots Poway

Dental Cleaning

★★★★★
“We brought our very timid senior dog in for her first cleaning, honestly expecting it wouldn't go well. The staff was so patient, caring, and gentle with her. Beautiful results — and no more bad breath. We're so glad we gave it a try.”

Jennifer P. · Kahoots Carlsbad

“Had my greyhound's teeth cleaned without anesthesia for under $200. They started right on time and finished exactly when they said they would. Professional and efficient.”

What a clinic day actually looks like.

When you arrive at the clinic

Routine care should be simple. Walk in anytime during clinic hours — no appointment needed for vaccines, microchips, nail trims, or testing. No paperwork to dig up, no upsells at checkout, just the care your pet needs. Please leash your dog and keep cats or small animals in carriers.

Check in at the clinic table

Get in line and scan the QR code to fill out your pet's info while you wait. A vet tech reviews it with you at the table, confirms what your pet needs, and flags any allergies or conditions.

Get your total

The vet or vet tech gives you a slip with the price. Exactly what's posted on the menu. Nothing added.

Pay at the register

Pay at the register Bring the slip to the counter and pay before service. All sales of prescription medications are final.

Get seen and head home

Most visits take 10–15 minutes. You'll leave with your pet, vaccination records, and whatever supplies you need.

Common questions

Is this a real vet?
Yes. All services are provided by licensed veterinarians and vet techs from Advanced Pet Service. Same credentials as your regular vet.
Why is it so much cheaper?
We don't run a full vet office. We host clinic days at our stores — no exam rooms, no reception, no overnight facility to pay for. Same medicine, less overhead.
Honestly — is the care as good?
For what we do? Yes. Vaccines are vaccines — the same medicine whether it's given at a full-service veterinary hospital or at one of our stores on a Saturday. The people giving it are licensed. The record-keeping is the same.
Do I need an appointment?
For vaccines, microchips, nail trims, testing — no. Walk in during clinic hours. For dental cleanings — yes. Call your local store to schedule.
What about surgery, emergencies, or sick visits?
For surgery, emergencies, or sick visits, a full-service vet or emergency hospital is the right place. Our clinic days focus on preventive wellness — vaccines, dental cleanings, microchips, and basic testing. If you need broader vet care, we're always happy to help you find a trusted local partner.
What if my pet doesn't do well around other animals?
We've seen it all, and we'll work with you. For pets that get stressed in busy spaces, we can often administer vaccines right at your car — just let the team know when you check in. For severely reactive pets, a traditional vet with sedation options may be a better fit.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your dog on a leash. Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds should be in carriers. If you have prior vaccination records, bring them — helpful but not required.
Do you take pet insurance?
Most people pay out of pocket because the prices are low enough that it's not worth the paperwork. If you want to submit after, we'll give you an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs.
Where can I get vaccination records?
Email contact@advancedpetservices.com (allow up to 24 hours).
How do I schedule a dental cleaning?
Teeth cleaning requires an appointment. Contact your local Kahoots store — unlike most vet services on clinic days, dental is not walk-in.

“I came in for the mobile vet, and the staff treated us like family. They offered my dogs different treats, answered every question I had in detail, and the vet was quick and fairly priced. This is where we're spending our money from now on.”
