FAQ
Common questions
Is this a real vet?
Yes. All services are provided by licensed veterinarians and vet techs from Advanced Pet Service. Same credentials as your regular vet.
Why is it so much cheaper?
We don't run a full vet office. We host clinic days at our stores — no exam rooms, no reception, no overnight facility to pay for. Same medicine, less overhead.
Honestly — is the care as good?
For what we do? Yes. Vaccines are vaccines — the same medicine whether it's given at a full-service veterinary hospital or at one of our stores on a Saturday. The people giving it are licensed. The record-keeping is the same.
Do I need an appointment?
For vaccines, microchips, nail trims, testing — no. Walk in during clinic hours. For dental cleanings — yes. Call your local store to schedule.
What about surgery, emergencies, or sick visits?
For surgery, emergencies, or sick visits, a full-service vet or emergency hospital is the right place. Our clinic days focus on preventive wellness — vaccines, dental cleanings, microchips, and basic testing. If you need broader vet care, we're always happy to help you find a trusted local partner.
What if my pet doesn't do well around other animals?
We've seen it all, and we'll work with you. For pets that get stressed in busy spaces, we can often administer vaccines right at your car — just let the team know when you check in. For severely reactive pets, a traditional vet with sedation options may be a better fit.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your dog on a leash. Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds should be in carriers. If you have prior vaccination records, bring them — helpful but not required.
Do you take pet insurance?
Most people pay out of pocket because the prices are low enough that it's not worth the paperwork. If you want to submit after, we'll give you an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs.
Where can I get vaccination records?
Email contact@advancedpetservices.com (allow up to 24 hours).
How do I schedule a dental cleaning?
Teeth cleaning requires an appointment. Contact your local Kahoots store — unlike most vet services on clinic days, dental is not walk-in.
